Mini Gets 5 NCAP Stars

As if to prove that small can also be safe, the recently-updated Mini Cooper has just been awarded five-stars for adult occupant crash safety by EuroNCAP.

It also managed three stars for child safety protection and two stars in the pedestrian impact test. The new Peugeot 207cc, tested at the same time, scored five stars for adult occupants and two for pedestrian. EuroNCAP was unable to assess its child protection scores, because it was judged that space in the rear seats was too tight to fit recommended child restraints.
